Kate Middleton: The Duchess’s eating and exercise habits for a slim figure

Kate Middleton is known for her passion for fitness and sport, whether she’s playing a game of football against her husband Prince William or becoming the royal patron of rugby. Daniel Herman, founder of sports nutrition brand Bio-Synergy, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about the Duchess’ likely lifestyle, eating pattern and excercise to use.

Daniel told Express.co.uk: “Back in 2007 I had the pleasure of supplying protein and energy drinks to Kate Middleton and the Sisterhood to fuel their training for their dragon boat charity race, so it’s clear that health and fitness are very important and has been a part of her lifestyle for many years.

“Clearly, her passion for sports and fitness has not waned.”

Tennis sensation Emma Raducanu called the Duchess’ forehand “incredible”.

In addition to their London home at Kensington Palace, Kate and William also enjoy the Amner Hall mansion in Norfolk.

Daniel continued, “And with estates at her disposal, I’m sure long walks are part of an active lifestyle.”

As for how the Duchess stays in such good shape, “Consistency and a balanced diet are key to long-term health and fitness”.

And according to the expert, it is “clear” that Kate has a “passion” for that.

The Duchess of Cambridge is undoubtedly an incredibly busy lady, so Daniel suggested she rely on “home workouts” whenever she gets the chance.

One of the advantages of this “daily routine” is that the royal family can fit it in between raising its three children and performing betrothals – “they can be done at any time and require no special equipment”.

The expert continued: “This type of training is very effective for maintaining lean muscle and fitness, and gives her a solid foundation for other activities she enjoys.”

While exercise is likely a fundamental aspect of the Duchess’s life, abs aren’t just built on exercise — she’s probably also meticulous about her diet.

“I would expect that to keep her energy level up, breakfast would consist of oats or porridge, as this increases the energy and nutrition that she has a busy day to face and because it is low GI she will provide sustainable energy,” Daniel suggested.

Combined with milk, this makes for a high-protein start to the day, “great for maintaining lean muscle and boosting metabolism.”

As far as snacks are concerned, Kate is unlikely to reach for chocolate and processed treats.

Instead, Daniel imagines she’s opting for fruits and nuts, which provide “essential nutrients for well-being.”

Plus, they can “enjoy on the go”, which is handy because Kate is always on the go.

Having snacks like these on hand is a great way for weight-lossers to get Kate’s physique because they won’t be tempted by unhealthy treats.

When the Duchess is home for lunch, Daniel suggests going for “locally sourced produce”, including a “good balance of protein and carbohydrates”.

Avoiding carbohydrates is not necessary to lead a healthy lifestyle and stay thin.

The fitness expert continued: “It is well known that Kate enjoys cooking, and that one of Prince Williams’ favorite meals is fried chicken, which is undoubtedly served with roast potatoes and vegetables, which means a good balance of nutrients.

“Overall, the diet would be well-balanced to meet her needs as a busy mom, royal and fitness enthusiast.”
